Presentation
Cinéclyc is born of the mutual desire of the regional council of Burgundy and Lycéens et Apprentis au cinéma to organize a cultural project for the youth, based on the quadripartite convention that associates four European regions centered on different projects.

Cinéclyc goes on the school year and simultaneously takes place in the four involved regions. Those will be the four main stages in the process :
|
The first term is dedicated to the discovery of one European film-maker's background and will allow the students to approach the picture reading thanks to the teacher training and the intervention of professionals and the publishing of teaching aids conceived for the operation. In order to give concrete expression to the training of an active and critical look, each country organizes a reviews competition on the film the students have just watched. |

| CinéClyc meetings : the selected students during that first round of the competition meet for a few days during which they are to participate in debates with professionals of the cinema circles, screenings, film-making workshops and diverse activities. During this time, another competition will designate one winner per country. | ![]() |
| The winners will be invited by the ARP to the International Film Festival in Cannes : they will get to know the other side of the picture in the biggest film festival in the world and discover behind the scenes the bubbling of the people in the profession. There, they will meet some professional film critics with whom they can exchange their views about the movies in competition and about their work during such an event. | ![]() |

We intend to organize in Europe an actual policy of education to the langage of pictures, not only about the medias but about the cinema especially, by giving the students and the teachers of each country access to a quality cultural offer. The object of CinéClyc is to allow each secondary school student enrolled in the operation to develop his/her critical mind and become an active member of the movie audience, generating his/her own likings by being given access to a common cultural heritage. We also intend to help the young European citizens to realize they are part of a common territory and help them build together an European identity rich in cultural diversities in each country. |
