Directing workshop : « Who are you ? »
Six professional film-makers (Erika Haglund, Emma Peret, David Meugnot, Carl Lionnet, Simon Gillet and Samuel Aubin) have supervised a whole afternoon the young European students who got the chance to find themselves behind the camera and make a short movie about the theme « Who are you ? ». It seemed important to us to let the critic apprentices take the part of those whose work they were to judge.

Directing workshop : animation film
In 2007, the students have taken part in animation film workshops supervised by two film-makers from Dijon, David Meugnot and Stéphane Lafoy. The high school students, by dozens, had to draw up a screenplay and make a short animation film in a very short period of time (two hours on tuesdays and one hour and a half on wednesdays). The two outside contributors have first introduced them to this technique before helping them to draw up a feasible screenplay. They used pixelation, a process that consists of taking pictures (700 per minute) and taping them end to end in order to make a film, as well as film scratching : the students had to draw upon a transparent roll of film.

Directing workshop : « Postcards » with Pierre Primetens
In small groups, and with the help of Pierre Primetens, film director, the high school students have made shorts films in the form of video postcards. Like the Lumière brothers, in sequences shots, those short films are both souvenirs of the exchange and invitations to the Czech and Polish students who would join the project in 2006. A dozen postcards of one minute has been made during the exchange. This workshop contributed to make the young critics familiar with the video technique and to develop their creativity while working with a professional with full scope for choice.
